Performance that suits Bedford roads

Two engines, one answer for most buyers

A 300-horsepower, 2.5-liter turbo four-cylinder with 311 lb-ft of torque powers the 2.5T, Select, Advanced, and 2.5T Sport Prestige. The two 3.5T trims use a 375-horsepower twin-turbo V6 with 391 lb-ft. Each pairs with an eight-speed automatic and standard AWD, and each recommends premium fuel. Between the Route 101 bypass, the back roads toward Amherst and Goffstown, and the F.E. Everett Turnpike south, the four-cylinder covers everything with ease. The V6 is for the driver who wants the quickest GV70 and the sharpest chassis.

That chassis comes with electronically controlled suspension that uses the front camera to read the road ahead and adjust damping before a bump, plus an electronic limited-slip rear differential. On the narrow, winding roads around Bedford, both are noticeable.

Mileage around town

The 2.5T is EPA-rated at 20 mpg city and 28 highway, or 20 and 26 for the Sport Prestige on 21-inch wheels. The V6 is rated at 18 and 25. A Bedford driver who splits time between town errands and a Manchester or Nashua commute will land somewhere in the low 20s with the four-cylinder.

The 27-inch OLED

One curved panel carries both the gauges and the touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot, SiriusXM, HD Radio, and fingerprint login are standard, along with four USB ports and the wireless charging pad. A rotary dial on the console works the menus. The climate panel is a second touch surface below the main screen, and a couple of settings require a tap into a submenu.

Seats and trim

Every GV70 has heated power front seats and adjustable ambient lighting. Leatherette on the 2.5T and Select gives way to leather on Advanced and 2.5T Sport Prestige, then Nappa on the V6 trims with heated rear seats and a suede headliner. Ventilated front seats begin at Advanced. The Prestige Graphite's Ultramarine Blue Nappa with suede inserts, embossed headrests, and carbon fiber trim is its alone.

Legroom and cargo

Rear passengers have 37.2 inches of legroom and 39.1 inches of headroom. Cargo volume is 28.9 cubic feet with the seats up and 56.9 folded, with a low load floor. That is enough for lacrosse gear, a Costco run, and a folded stroller, though a BMW X3 or Volvo XC60 holds more with the seats down. A 60/40 split lets one child ride beside a long item.

The GV70 is 185.6 inches long, 75.2 inches wide, and 64.2 inches tall on a 113.2-inch wheelbase. Two-Line Micro Lens Array headlamps and the Crest Grille define the front. Wheels are 19 inches through the Advanced trim, with a new design available on Select and Advanced for 2027, and 21 inches on the Sport Prestige and Prestige Graphite.

Bering Blue joins the palette for the Sport Prestige trims, and Ceres Blue Matte is exclusive to the Prestige Graphite, which also comes in Makalu Gray and Uyuni White. The Prestige Graphite trades bright chrome for smoked chrome and adds gloss-black mirror caps, dark 21-inch wheels, and red brake calipers.
